TSIS-ROTEM®-Workshop Seminar Room / Saturday, March 13th, 2010, 07.15 -08:15 am Heavy bleeding episodes may occur peri - or post-operatively, for example in cardiac surgery, liver transplant surgery, vascular surgery, obstetrics and especially in trauma. They can be life threatening and always require immediate action. ROTEM® provides a rapid overview about the coagulation status after 10 minutes for implementing and controlling a targeted therapy. At this ROTEM®-workshop will be practically demonstrated, how different types of ROTEM®-tests are performed for differential diagnosis. Prof. Michael Spannagl, Munich, will introduce a variety of result patterns in order to get participants familiarized with ROTEM®-curve-interpretation. Participants who would like to do ROTEM®-tests on their own (assisted hands-on) or practise result-interpretation are more than welcome to do so. Breakfast will be available on-site.
